SIE-Hunting is a Danish company that provides the newest types of equipment for passionate hunters. Established in 2007 by Daniel Jensen, SIE-hunting is now Denmark’s largest hunting and outdoor equipment store. Among their extensive selection, customers can find night vision equipment, full body hunting-suits and over eleven different kinds of rifles. Aside from their online shop, SIE-Hunting’s clients can visit at their physical store on the Funen Island, just off the highway 47 Long Forest on the E20 in Denmark. Here, the hunting community will always be greeted with a warm smile and a freshly brewed cup of coffee.
Being just an online store is not enough for SIE-Hunting. Their vision is to transform their business into a friendly place for customers to share their experiences and knowledge around hunting gear. In other words, create a community with quality content and valuable information for the hunting community.
In order to achieve their goal, SIE-Hunting needed a trustworthy, easy-to-use platform that is more service oriented rather than product oriented. The site needed to be attractive for both first-time hunters as well as for experts and make everyone feel welcome.
WiredeltaⓇ understood SIE-Hunting need to create a platform for both online shopping as well as community engagement. Our focus in this case, was to enable easy access to quality information for the customers. The solution we developed consists of a platform that reflects our client’s identity and connects hunting enthusiast through an engaging and interesting blog.
The website was built using WordPress, a content management system based on PHP. It includes all the elements SIE-Hunting needed to establish a webshop and a community platform around it.
We used nature-based green and brown colors for the websites visuals, which goes well with the green Scandinavian hunting environment. In order to help create the hunting community SIE is thriving for, we built a blog section on the platform. This gives users a trustworthy channel where they can find news about the company, as well as engage and share their own experiences. Moreover, customers can upload pictures and videos to their stories, and if interested connect with others by adding their email address. To make the articles more personal, the author can also write a short description of themselves and their interest in hunting.
Wiredelta created a mobile-responsive platform for the Nordic hunting community. The work with SIE-Hunting combined a community driven communication channel with the company’s distribution channel. The webshop is, in other words, also a community platform with articles for and by the customers.
