Beach Glam is a beachwear and beach accessories brand, which started in 2012 headquartered in New York City. The company offers a large array of products for women such as tunics, headbands, jewelry, hats, bags, bundles and so on.
The brand was created by Ama Addae, after discovering just how much women love mixing different beach items and accessories together with regular day-to-day outfits. Their mission is to give women the possibility to accessorize their beachwear, boosting their confidence regardless of age or body type. Today Beach Glam ships its products worldwide through their online webshop.

Nowadays, the beachwear market is characterized by customers searching for unique products. Since the explosion of tourism throughout seaside resorts, a growing need for differentiated products are becoming more and more obvious. As a result, swimsuits and beachwear markets have shown a significant surge in the last years.
This increase in the demand for beachwear is propelled by the growing possibility to travel all around the world in all seasons at low cost. In order to raise its market share and distinguish itself, Beach Glam has developed an ingenious concept which allows every woman to customize their beachwear bundles.
However, Beach Glam lacked a global communication and sales channel such as a good website to showcase their products and sell directly to consumers. Thus, to enhance its activity Beach Glam needed a way to reach the masses online. So they teamed up with Wiredelta® to build a creative and playful e-commerce website that allows their users to create their own beachwear bundles.
The main idea of Beach Glam was to propose a service where women could choose from pre-selected beachwear bundles or create their own bundle that they liked. In order to incentivize people to create their own bundles, our team of developers built a transparent and easy to use e-commerce platform. To match Beach Glam requirements. Wiredelta® developers used PHP as a programming language to build the customized and responsive e-commerce website, seting up with the Codelgniter PHP framework.
Beach Glam is an e-commerce platform, allowing shoppers two ways to proceed. If they opt for the pre-selected package, different printing is available such as animals print or a various color grid. Further, every bundle’s name is referring to heavenly places in the world as the product has been inspired by exotic locations.
Moreover, if you go for the preselected bundle you have three options (Bronze, Silver and Gold). The number of items and price change according to the one selected. Similar to a sports rewards system, the Bronze medals are the smallest bundle and the Gold one, the more complete one. The three bundles go like this:
- Bronze has 3 items: a bag, sarong, choice of hat or headband
- Silver has 4 items: bag, jewelry, sarong, choice of hat or headband
- Gold has 5 items: bag, jewelry, choice of sarong or caftan, hat, headband.
The other option is to create and customize your own style by adding individual items. Users are allowed to mix and match the style as they want. In doing so, you have access to your basket on the side to adjust your choice.
The goal of the e-commerce website is to ease the shopping experience, enrich their purchasing experience when visitors are looking for their potential new beachwear.
